During 2nd January to 16th February in 2023, I’m glad to participate in Development of Scientific Research and Academic Competency Programme. It’s a really a fantastic and rewarding programme that is worth being recollected.
Firstly, this programme makes me more confident in presentation. This is my first time to have an English presentation. Before the class, I don’t know how to make an English presentation and I’m afraid that I can’t do this work well. However, two professors are really nice and patient to teach us and answer our questions. They have moderate speed, enormous knowledge and unlimited enthusiasm so that I can follow the most of the class. What I learn from the professors is not only knowledge, but also attitude on scientific research.
Secondly, this programme has improved my abilities to study by myself and work in groups. On the one hand, I develop the habit of previewing and reviewing the learning materials in time. I’m aware of the importance of creative thinking and critical thinking. Moreover,I know how to develop them, how to strengthen them and how to avoid some mistakes. On the other hand, I become more active in discussing with group members. Sometimes I lead group members to discuss the feedback that the professor or other groups give us and what to do to make our next presentation better.
Last but not least,I gratefully acknowledge the financial support from Jilin university school of philosophy and sociology.It provides us students with a platform to open up our horizons and broaden thinking,encouraging us to devote ourselves to the study of philosophy and make contributions in this field in the future.
