The expected goal of my participation in this workshop project is to improve my English comprehension, analysis, reading and writing skills, as well as to improve my academic level and expand my way of thinking
At the beginning of the project, I made a series of preparations, such as oral English and listening training, cultivating language sense, understanding the fields and knowledge involved in the course, communicating with fellow students and getting familiar with the learning and cooperation content.
In terms of the content taught in class, I think the course content is relatively elementary and simple, especially the content of critical reading. The difficulty lies in understanding the teacher's English content rather than academic or technical knowledge points. In terms of teaching methods, the first professor mainly imparts content, lacks interaction process, and the content is complicated and difficult to understand and easy to get tired. However, the content taught in class is relatively valuable, and the teacher speaks at an appropriate speed. The second professor's classroom interaction is strong, but the teaching content is relatively elementary, which I personally think is of low value. For example, the content of foreign middle school level, the class difficulty is entirely English listening content, the teacher speaks too fast.
In the process of this English workshop project, I successfully improved my English level, got to know my classmates, understood relatively basic English writing skills and article analysis skills, and mainly practiced my listening skills.
For this project and similar projects in the future, I suggest more reasonable group teaching, such as more targeted and suitable teaching for the same major and similar grade. I hope the professor will speak slowly and use simple words.
