Classes are conducted through presentations by professors, group discussions, presentations, and collaborative assignments. It is divided into two parts, taught by Professor Mark Perkins from Cambridge University and Professor Helal Ahmed from Imperial College London.
Professor Mark mainly taught us the relevant knowledge of academic writing, literature review skills and the use of research methods such as questionnaire survey. It was the first time for me to systematically learn the body of knowledge related to academic research, the rules of writing, and many practical skills on how to write clear and logical articles. Professor Mark is affable, humorous and has a good atmosphere when communicating with his classmates.
Professor Helal mainly talked to us about how to better prepare and present a presentation. And also taught us about creative and critical thinking. In addition, how to apply them to the learning process of thinking, reading and writing. Professor Helal was always full of passion in class, speaking quickly and with hand gestures. He hoped to pass on more knowledge to us, and often hoped to communicate with the classmates to understand their understanding and ideas. When we asked him a good question, he always seemed very excited and happy, patiently answering and encouraging us.
Through participating in this project, I not only improved my oral English and communication skills, but also exercised my critical reading and writing skills. In addition, enhanced my creativity and broaden my horizon. At the same time, as the group leader, my teamwork ability and organization ability have been further improved. I believe this attempt will make me more brave and confident. The practical knowledge learned in the project will also help me do better in the future process of study and research.
Thank you very much for the two professors to accompany us through this period of learning, so that we feel the happiness of learning and the wonder of knowledge. I also want to thank the classmates for their interesting questions that prompted me to think more deeply. I hope I can have the opportunity to join the project again in the future.
