This winter holiday, I was very lucky to participate in the online course project of Cambridge University. I heard more than ten lectures through the network. I felt the way of classes in foreign universities for the first time, and learned a lot of cross-professional knowledge, and gained a lot.
At the beginning of the course, we divided into groups. Each group was composed of five students, who completed the exploration together, and put their own experience on the course for display. The students in my group are all from different majors. They work together to use their professional knowledge to solve the problems raised by the teacher. The course assignment is to read the literature given to us by the teacher, critically read and think about it, and then prove it with some evidence, and successfully complete the presentation. Because of a lot of previous studies, when the professor summarized the problem, he felt more perceptive and had a deeper understanding of the problem. Through such opportunities, I have some experience in autonomous learning, and I am not so afraid to learn areas I have never entered.
Through this course, I have gained a new learning method. Compared with the previous method of simply relying on the classroom to learn knowledge, now I am more willing to try to answer my doubts by collecting data by myself. By listening to the classroom explanation after my own exploration, I can better grasp the relevant knowledge. In addition, this project has also given me more ideas about the future development. I have many expectations for cross-disciplines. Compared with single disciplines, the integration of disciplines seems to attract me more. For the choice of future direction, I also prefer to choose interdisciplinary subjects for further study.
In short, I feel honored to have such an opportunity to participate in such a project, and the knowledge and methods learned from it can also better help my learning and development.
