I am honored to participate in "Jilin University-Cambridge University-Imperial College of Technology Academic Quality Improvement Workshop" in 2023. I would like to participate in this project because I want to get some ability improvement. For example, I hope that I can communicate with the UK during the project, improve the skills of academic writing, and enhance the corresponding academic literacy.
I am actively involved in the project. I strengthened my oral English learning, improved my oral communication ability, and systematically conducted listening exercises to adapt to the project courses. I also Asked the students who participated in the project before to prepare for the course, downloaded tutorial course materials and preview ,and actively established contact and cooperation with students in the project team.
The course system is comprehensive and the course description is clear; The teaching interaction is strong, more teaching websites and small programs are applied, and the classroom atmosphere is relaxed. Combining learning with practice, the professor's correction and feedback are very meticulous; The curriculum project is mainly aimed at academic literacy and has more long-term value for future student research; The organization and management are good, and it is carried out in the mode of small project group. The teachers organize everyone to punch in for preview, carrying out course feedback and promote questions and answers with professors.
To sum up, I have gained two major improvements in participating in the project. On the one hand, two aspects:
On the one hand, personal academic quality has been improved. I have a deeper understanding of critical reading, critical writing and creative thinking, and a more comprehensive grasp of academic writing. On the other hand, I have made great progress in reading foreign literature, making academic reports, and receiving English courses. With ZOOM subtitles, I can basically master the key points taught by the professor in class. The distinction between academic English and general English is more detailed.

Thanks for the students who have communicated with each other and made progress together. I have made great progress through the study in the whole program.
