Thank you very much for giving me a chance to taste the teaching style of Cambridge University and Imperial College London. In this course, I really feel that I have learned a lot of academic skills. This course shares writing skills, presentation skills and academic critical thinking.
In particular, I was most impressed by the lesson on how to read critically in academic writing, which is very important for my academic road. Professors carefully prepared ppt and prepared enough time for questions. I also learned from the professors' unique critical thinking mode while interacting with them. It is worth mentioning that the professors took into account the differences in language and were very tolerant of our questions and accents.
What makes me more excited is that the professors' research direction is very consistent with my research direction and topic of interest, so that I can know the most cutting-edge foreign research results on this topic in a short time.
In addition, the teaching method of this project made learning easier for us. zoom platform allowed us to discuss in different areas, trello platform sent courseware in advance for us to preview, and some questionnaire links were directly presented on the ppt in the form of charts, which saved a lot of time.
In each class, the assistant teachers, especially Ivy and Amy, would listen to the course content and give detailed answers to our homework and questions about the content. The teamwork learning mode enables us to complete learning tasks more happily and easily. Five students in a group can help each other. During the course discussion, they can also highlight their own innovative ideas, which makes our group members closer and create more sparks of thinking.
In a word, this course has benefited a lot, and I am still willing to learn from it if I have another chance.
