I feel very fortunate to participate in the Oxford Tutorial programme. In this programme, I learned about the philosophy of Kant, Hegel, Fichte, Schelling, Marx and the Foucault’s view of the German classical philosophy, I read some paper every week and prepare a precis each week, I participated in class discussions with my supervisor and classmates, and tried to write an essay in English.
It was very challenging for me to take this course. I need to overcome language difficulties and make up for lack of knowledge, and it is really take a lot time to read the material and make precis. However, it also makes perfect sense. I think I gain some different way to understand the point of these philosophies from these class and it is really helpful, and I also improved my language skills, and the prepared precis makes me more easily to participate in the discuss of the class. I think I have experienced the unique teaching form of group teaching and enriched my experience.
I am very grateful to our professor Dr. Amna Whiston. She gave us wonderful lectures and made us immersed in the field of German classical philosophy. Also, she communicated with us patiently and provided one-on-one guidance. Thanks to assistants for their contribution. They made various announcements in a timely manner and communicated with us amicably. Thanks for the help of my classmates. And I am very grateful to the teachers at Jilin University and University of Oxford for giving me this opportunity to participate in this online training course for the first time. This is a very precious time.
