There are some universities around the world, which make people get addicted and be strong willing to go to, and Harvard University is no doubt among the list. I was quite lucky and honorable to gain the opportunity to have a visit there to represent my beloved the School of Philosophy and Sociology of Jilin University.
Days there not only widened my vision but also revolutionized my point of how a university should and could be.
First and foremost, the cafeteria, the air condition and the quiet and clean corridor in the school buildings made a strong impression for me and I argue that the fundamental support can be the first step to build a supreme university. Besides, the vision there surely and truly made me surprised. Taking anthropology as example, they almost got all center to analyze around the world.
In addition, I felt the so-called liberal education there. Students there could be grown in many ways not just studying but also the sports and art with the respect from society. Last but not least, the combination between religion and academy impressed me a lot. Faith is what we rely on in our life and the logic immersed in science both social and natural ones can give us that kind of faith. However, there is something above it and we name it as religion. In Harvard, we can feel strong faith for the truth and we can be overwhelmed by the bright of religion especially when you read a book in their excellent and knowledge-wealthy libraries!
