Thanks to the efforts of all teachers,I had a full and wonderful academic journey this winter holiday.And in this article, I will first briefly describe the course learning process, and then talk about what I learned from the course.
In several courses in the first two weeks, Professor Mark showed us the whole process of English academic paper writing, from word selection and sentence making to content arrangement, and gave us many examples to help us better understand the relevant content. This part of the course has strong practicability and operability. In the second half of the course, young and energetic Professor Helal taught speech skills, creative and critical thinking, reading and writing. Each lecture given by Professor Helal is very enlightening and informative. In short, two experienced and responsible teachers led us to swim in the ocean of academic knowledge.
As you can see, with excellent and responsible teachers, our students can naturally acquire a lot of useful knowledge.
Firstly, I learned a lot of practical writing and presentation skills, which is very helpful to complete a standard and authentic English academic paper. This has undoubtedly improved my academic writing ability, or at least made my academic papers look more professional.
Secondly, in terms of thinking, I have mastered the methods and skills of creative thinking and critical thinking. Compared with writing and speaking, thinking ability is a more important ability, and the process of improving this ability is complex and long. However, once improved, it will play a huge role in improving academic ability.
I have to say that in the nearly two months of pure English courses, my English ability has been significantly improved, which is not what I can do with the test paper.
In conclusion, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the college and all the teachers.
