In the 2022 "Jilin University-Cambridge Academic Project", I gained a lot for more than two month. I not only have a better understanding of the paper report, but also directly improve my English level. In addition, I have further mastered academic thinking and writing skills, which will be of great help to my future research in related fields In addition, I learned about doing research and how to cultivate our students' critical thinking and reading methods.
To be honest, this project course is moderately difficult, and the course arrangement is reasonable. I enjoy every lecture. Our professor carefully and passionately prepares to provide us with slides before each class. The professor shared the methods of doing research, critical thinking and how to give a presentation, focused on discussing our reactions and tried to answer the questions we raised in each class. Because of this, we actively participate in in-depth exchanges, and the sparks of ideas collide from them fascinate me.
I am very grateful to the School of Philosophy and Social Sciences of our department for giving me this opportunity to participate in this project. I also want to say thank you to the principals for informing us of any notice before and after each class. They also patiently answer any questions about the course.
In a word, as far as I am concerned, this is a good opportunity to exercise our English ability and academic knowledge. This group teaching discussion mode helps people express themselves freely and focus on their strengths and weaknesses through in-depth discussions with professors or group members. After the course, I will continue to strengthen my studies in philosophy of science and English, continue on my long journey of study. However, due to the short time, so many problems can not be further developed, which is a pity I hope there will be more such opportunities in the future!
