During Cambridge Supervision Programme of more than one month, I gain o lot. I not only read English literature in related fields, but also mastered academic writing skills. It will be of great help to my future research in related fields. I also learned about the tutorial system in Britain and the philosophy training methods of philosophy students.
This project course has moderate difficulty and reasonable course arrangement. The professor prepared carefully for each module and gave the syllabus and reading assignments for us which is advanced each course. The professor also tried his best to answer the questions we asked in every class. Especially in the essay guidance, the professor gave me a lot of reasonable and effective suggestions which helped me a lot.
The course is well organized by the School of Philosophy and Society. The principal timely reminded us of any notice before and after each class. They also patiently answer any questions they have about the course. There are professors who teach us academic writing courses. I learned a lot about English writing methods academic research methods and publishing skills and so on in this course.
I still think there's room for improvement in the curriculum. For example, our group discussion is going to focus on Aristotle's metaphysics. But the professor didn't talk much about it. Instead, he talked about the ethics of Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. The syllabus given before each class was not clear, and some questions were not answered due to time constraints.
