What I've been thinking about is: How we can understand each other? How do we justify our positions through words, especially in an age of flourishing public forums?After reviewing the relevant literature, I started to sort out the possible issues involved in the philosophy of AI. It occurred to me that why does the Turing test use communication instead of other methods? It led me to continue to ask the question of how AI understands what humans mean beyond words.
I've always wanted to find a fulcrum for my thinking, so I dabbled in as many relevant areas as possible, and the Cambridge project was a great opportunity to have some of my questions addressed in the class.
Many questions in the classroom, such as do machines think? How do we know what others are thinking? What is knowledge? Is scepticism helpful? All have been useful to my research.
In addition to learning about professional knowledge, I also learnt about the way Cambridge professors design their courses, their academic thinking and their questioning perspectives.Furthermore, as a PhD student, it pays to keep thinking and keep writing in English.
The curriculum is well developed (certainly looking forward to additional hours) and the class content has been adapted relevantly after gathering relevant areas from the students. The teaching methods were very accessible, professional and cutting edge, and the research and organisation was very fluid and efficient.
Habermas says that "When an important part of the living world becomes difficult, when the certainty of the context in which justification is stored breaks down, and the normative means of understanding fail", " How does a subject with the capacity for language and action turn a badly understood expression into an easily understood one in an alien environment ".
How I can make people communicate more smoothly will be the direction of my future research.In my future studies, I will continue to deepen my understanding of existing research directions.
