We are very grateful to the college for providing us with the opportunity to visit and study in one of the world's top universities, Oxford University. During the one-week study tour, I personally experienced the totally different style and system of study from that of domestic universities.
We often joke that Changchun city is located in the beautiful Jilin University, while Oxford University is really scattered in various parts of Oxford town. From the moment you enter the town center, every building is likely to be a college. Because people only use fences enclose the lawn, the college is mixed with bars, restaurants, gift shops, etc. In contrast to our tendency to insulate schools from the outside world with iron bars, Oxford University wants to show the real life of a small town.
The best place to experience the learning atmosphere of Oxford is the library. Walking around Oxford at night, one can look around and see that every college library is brightly lit, with students facing the screen or books in front of them with serious faces. Because the library is divided into colleges, the library of each college is relatively small, and each wall is a bookcase. It is a very dreamy thing to be buried in the books.
The week in the program was short and full, and I missed the food of my hometown every day in the UK. This trip means a lot to me. From the beginning of preparing to participate in the project to the end of the subsequent impact of the project is something that I will never forget in this semester. I enjoyed every day in Oxford and made many new friends through this trip. Thanks again for the school and college. I hope there will be more opportunities in the future.
